This was the beginning statement for today's announcements. I find it very scary. What do you think?

Where are candles normally kept?
In a cupboard/drawer ready for that emergency that probably most likely won't ever happen.
And what does that candle do?
Probably not a lot.

But, when we get that candle out
and light it
we gather round
in utter thankfulness for the light.

As a teacher I do not want to achieve burn out,
neither do I want to be a huddled mess on the floor....

so how is this possible?

I would say
by living in the now of the sharing of ourselves
safe in the knowing
that we can never reach the end of who we are....
